Sight-read and record vocal music from Disney films in a simulated film-scoring studio environment. Learn the importance of sight-reading, listening, rehearsing and watching the director.
Intermediate to advanced vocal ensembles experience the excitement of a working recording studio where industry professionals present sight-reading techniques, performance concepts, improvisational tools and the entire process for laying down a musical track. Important performance and rehearsal concepts are reinforced by the supervising Disney clinician. Students have the opportunity to work with a recording technician while using click track and wireless headsets to produce their very own version of a vocal selection from a beloved Disney film. This 90-minute workshop culminates with a screening of the students' recorded work set to Disney film footage!

Requirements: This course has a minimum of 20 participants. Elementary and Middle School ensembles (performers ages 9-13) must provide a video submission. Minimum age is 9 years old.
Disney Performing Arts Workshops fulfill many of the National Core Arts Standards for creation, performing, responding and connecting. Review the standards explored through this experience.
Submit your completed Disney Performing Arts Application to us at least 8 weeks before the requested date of your event. (Application materials can be accepted up to one year in advance.)
