Workshop Overview

Created for the intermediate to advanced actor, this 90-minute workshop challenges performers to take risks, make quick decisions, tackle cold reading material, and elevate their audition skills. Whether auditioning for Broadway, Disney, or local theater—the same important skills apply—and this class empowers students to shine while holding true to their voice.

Your group will engage in interactive exercises as they:

  • Further develop an understanding of basic theater concepts, performance style and techniques
  • Use scene study as a vehicle for introducing and building character interaction
  • Practice making strong choices in character development
  • Develop onstage improvisational skills while maintaining professionalism

Requirements: This course has a minimum of 15 participants. Large groups may be split between two workshop locations at no additional cost. Minimum age is 11 years old. Must be able to read English at a 4th grade level.

National Core Arts Standards

Disney Performing Arts Workshops fulfill many of the National Core Arts Standards for creation, performing, responding and connecting. Review the standards explored through this experience.
