Disney Performing Arts Performance | Candlelight Processional

Be part of one of the most beloved holiday traditions at Epcot by performing with your high school, church or community choir in this joyous retelling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator and 50-piece orchestra. Afterwards, make even more memories as you reward yourselves by enjoying the magic of our theme parks.

Performance Overview

Spread the spirit of the season as you perform on stage before an international audience at the open-air America Gardens Theater on the shore of the shimmering World Showcase Lagoon.

Disney Performing Arts recruits outstanding choirs to be part of this revered Disney holiday tradition. The Candlelight Processional features inspirational narration of the Christmas story, a twinkling winter wonderland setting and the joyful music of a massed choir—possibly your choir—performing holiday arrangements with the world-class Walt Disney World orchestra.

Performers will be provided with robes and collars to wear for the show. There will be a pre-performance rehearsal with a guest conductor and professional Disney singers. For the safety of the performers, 3 chaperones will need to remain in the backstage area during the show. Only performers in Grades 9 through 12 are eligible to participate in the Candlelight Processional.

How to Apply

Submit your completed Disney Performing Arts Application to us by the date listed on the application. (Application materials can be accepted up to one year in advance.)

Your group's audition will be evaluated on the following:

  • Appearance and costumes
  • Interpretation and execution of music, choreography and/or marching
  • Showmanship and stage presence
  • Accompanists
  • Overall show value
