The Disney Difference

Immersive Sessions: Each performer will participate in sessions focusing on storytelling through vocal, dance and acting performance. Participants will learn from industry-recognized teaching artists who will illustrate how each craft supports the overall performance quality of any show.

In-Park and Behind-the-Scenes Experiences: Participants will get the opportunity to see firsthand how the performing arts bring our theme parks to life by experiencing shows, atmosphere entertainment, parades and attractions. From the wondrous stage show “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” to the enchantment of “Mickey and the Magical Map,” they will experience Disney Entertainment through the eyes of those who create it—while learning how to define the elements of a great show.

Auditioning Workshops: Each participant will learn the keys to a successful audition and receive feedback from Disneyland® Resort Cast Members. Participants who are age 18 or older will have the opportunity to submit a headshot and resume as well as to be seen by the Disney Live Entertainment Casting Team.

Rehearsing Workshop: A main goal of the Conservatory is working toward a final performance. The entire group of participants will rehearse daily under the direction of industry professionals and Disneyland® Resort Cast Members. Professional rehearsal techniques and habits will be reinforced along the way.

Special Guest Artists: Throughout the Conservatory, participants will learn techniques and receive amazing insights from those who have made the Disney magic you have come to know. 2020 special guests will be announced at a later date.

Final Performance: Final Performance: Rehearsal and preparation will be key as the group comes together to create a grand performance at one of the Disneyland® Resort theme parks. This final performance will be open to Disney Performing Arts Conservatory friends and family as well as Disneyland® Resort Guests.
