On the final day, the Conservatory will culminate with a live performance concert at one of the Disneyland Resort theme parks.

The Disney Difference

Immersive Workshops and Classes: Each musician will participate in sessions focusing on performance skills, sight-reading and musicianship. Participants will learn from industry-recognized teaching artists who will illustrate how each craft supports the overall quality of a group performance. For the success of a great final performance, participants must be able to play brass, woodwind, strings or percussion and sight read and play grade 3 music.

In-Park and Behind-the-Scenes Experiences: Participants will get the opportunity to see firsthand how the performing arts bring the Disneyland Resort theme parks to life through shows, atmosphere entertainment, parades, spectaculars and attractions. From the traditions of the world-famous Disneyland Band to the razzmatazz of the Five & Dime jazz group, participants will learn what it is like to be a musician with one of the largest live entertainment companies in the world—and explore what it takes to be successful.

Professional Panels: Throughout the Conservatory, participants will learn techniques and receive amazing insights from Disney Music industry leaders who have made the magic you have come to know. Special guest educators to be announced at a later date.

Rehearsing Workshop: A main goal of the Conservatory is working toward a final performance. The entire group of participants will rehearse daily under the direction of industry professionals and Disney Teaching Artists. Professional rehearsal techniques and habits will be reinforced along the way.

Final Performance: Rehearsal and preparation will be key as the group comes together for a grand concert performance. The group will also perform a live soundtrack to classic Disney shorts and film segments, creating a one-of-a-kind experience that is sure to dazzle friends, family and Disneyland Guests alike.
