Program Overview

At Disney we keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things, thanks to the creative legacy provided by our founder, Walt Disney. Participants in this highly experiential program will gain insights into a leader's role in creating and supporting an environment that stimulates and encourages creativity within a team, as once modeled by Walt himself. This program focuses on creativity, as Disney defines and utilizes this tool to drive business success.

Key Learning Points

After completing Disney's Creativity: A Leader's Role College Edition, participants will:

  • Understand the Disney concept of creative discontent and how it spurs our creative process
  • Be able to articulate Walt Disney's approach to developing and maintaining a creative team
  • Be able to share the four critical environmental elements that a leader must provide for a truly creative team to thrive
  • Have tested the creative environment structure while working on their own
  • College/University or organization-based challenge
  • Be able to examine their own team's creative environment to identify the elements they already have in place, and the elements that need to be implemented to maximize their creative potential

Disney's Creativity: A Leader's Role College Edition program is an optional add-on experience for either Disney's Techniques of Teamwork or Disney's Leadership Strategies for $17.00 per participants. (Pricing is subject to change)

Follow this 6-step process for planning your College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series visit to Walt Disney World® Resort.

Select the program(s) that best suits your group.

  1. Choose the dates you intend to visit. College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series programs are available year-round. While we will work diligently to accommodate your request, we ask that you identify an alternate program date in case programming is not available on your preferred date.
  2. Submit a Program Request Form. Programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is encouraged.
  3. Upon receipt of confirmation from the Disney Youth Programs team, purchase your value-priced theme park Ticket Packages, which include your first College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series program. Ask your Disney Youth Representative about adding additional programs during your visit to maximize your experience.
  4. You can also purchase tickets that include other Disney parks or events, including Disney Water Parks, Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course, Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
  5. Be sure to request information on food and beverage options and convenient Disney on-site group hotel accommodations.

Additional Guests are the perfect way to share the wonder and magic of your Walt Disney World® Resort visit. Students, friends and family can each enjoy their own special kind of Disney fun with the same great value-priced College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series ticket packages! *College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series Additional Guest ticket package does not include participation in the College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series program.

Disney Youth Representatives can guide you in choosing the programs that best suit your group, plan your food and beverage options and even help you book your Disney Resort accommodations at special group rates.

*A minimum of 10 students is required and a maximum of one (1) adult may attend the Program per every five (5) students. Minimum of 1 adult per 15 students must attend the Program. The number of Group Leaders and Additional Guests (i.e., chaperones, parents, siblings, etc.) may not exceed the number of students.

Theme Park admission is required and all participants must purchase a College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series Ticket Package to attend any College Edition: Disney Youth Education Series program. Use of an admission is required for entrance into the park on the date of your program. Tickets are valid for 7 days prior to your arrival date and after departure date. Tickets are only available to residents of the Domestic U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Annual passes, complimentary admission and regular front‐gate admission cannot be applied to the cost of a program.
