You're Instrumental! gives students a chance to immerse themselves into the world of a professional musician. Students will sight-read and prepare a polished performance of special Disney music selections in a studio recording environment.
You're Instrumental! gives students a chance to immerse themselves into the world of a professional musician. Students sight-read and prepare a polished performance of special Disney music selections in a studio recording environment. A professional Disney clinician examines the skills, attitudes and priorities that are essential to musical excellence. This 2 ½-hour workshop culminates with a special recording of your ensemble performing music along with a portion of a Disney animated feature film. (Workshop is intended for middle/junior high and high school bands and orchestras.)

- Understand the importance of intonation, balance and tone quality, and follow the interpretation of the conductor.

Recording Professionalism:
- Experience the excitement and expectations of a studio musician.
- Learn about the requirements of the studio recording environment.
- The workshop takes place in a special Disney rehearsal facility.
- All chairs, stands, piano, amps and all large percussion instruments are provided.
- Music is scored for Concert Band, String Orchestra, Full Orchestra or Combined Concert Band/String Orchestra.
- Students sight read several arrangements of Disney music ranging from grade 1.5 to grade 4.
- The Disney clinician will select music that is the appropriate grade level for your group to achieve success within a short rehearsal period.
- Your students are taught specific techniques to maximize rehearsal time and focus on a great performance.
