Disney Performing Arts Workshops
Walt Disney World® Resort

You must apply before purchasing your tickets!

Here are some audition tips:
  • Submit all of your application materials at least EIGHT WEEKS prior to your requested performance date. Applications can be accepted up to one year in advance of your requested performance date.
  • Complete a Disney Workshops Application for EACH GROUP auditioning. No application fee is required for your initial group. If you have more than one group in one of the following disciplines: band, orchestra, vocal or dance, that are applying for separate workshops, copy and submit a separate application, along with the application fee, for each additional group's workshop. This fee is not necessary if you have multiple groups from different disciplines (such as a band and an orchestra). The additional group(s) will not be scheduled until four weeks prior to the workshop date of your first group. If your additional group(s) is not selected, then the application fee is refundable.
  • Submit a non-returnable DVD or VHS videotape of a performance that is less than one year old. This DVD or videotape (no excerpts, please) should be representative of the actual number of performers that would be participating. Please place your video camera close enough so that specific movements of the group can be easily and clearly seen, but far enough away to capture the whole group at one time. Please avoid close-ups and individual shots. Promotional videos and adjudication videos are not acceptable. (Please label the DVD or videotape with your group's name, the director's name and the director's telephone number.)
    • Marching Bands — Provide complete selections of your choice (parade performances preferred).
    • Orchestras and Concert Bands — Provide two selections of your choice.
    • Jazz Bands — Provide two complete big band jazz charts.
    • Dance Ensembles and Drill Teams — Provide at least two complete up-tempo, high-energy numbers that show ALL participants and ALL groups that will be performing.
    • Choral Groups — Provide two complete selections of your choice.
  • Submit a non-returnable, color photograph (no larger than 8" x 10") of the uniforms/costumes. The photograph must show the entire uniform/costume/robe. Please label the photograph on the back with your group's name, the director's name and the director's telephone number.
  • Bands and Choral Groups — Costumes/uniforms/robes should be same or consistent to a theme, clean and well-maintained. Proper footwear is required, and must be the same style. Jeans, t-shirts, tank tops, shorts and athletic attire must be pre-approved by the Disney Workshops office. Mascots or recognizable character costumes are not permitted.
